The Holiday

Just watched The Holiday with Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jack Black, and Jude Law. It was a nice movie. Nothing spectacular, but I don't need fancy. Remember I am the two star movie queen. I was put off at first with Kate Winslet being paired with Jack Black. He is not an attractive man. Now that I've said that, I must do 3 Hail Marys for thinking as well as saying something bad about someone (Catholic school stays with you for life). Anyway, he grew on me. I liked him for the first time in his career. He usually plays a loser, but this time he was vulnerable and charming. I like that. His character was such a sweet guy that by the end of the movie I wanted Kate to be with him. Jude Law.....excuse me for a moment as I splash some cold water on myself....okay, I think I can go on. He is unbelievably sexy in this movie. This character is every woman's dream. He keeps his roguish charm, but is also domesticated in "a girl must have writen this movie" kind of way. This movie also contains an endearing kissing scene between Diaz and Law. I have a thing for movie kisses. I'll have to make a list of my favorite (as Jason refers to them) "kissing movies". The best movie kisses are not necessarily hot and heavy. Usually they are soft and emotionally charged. Good job people.

The Holiday earns two stars from me. It was worth the price of rental.

Still waiting to see The Pursuit of Happiness. The video store only had one copy and it was fullscreen. Can't watch full screen movies on a widescreen tv. Too distracting.
